The shortlist contains Beamsley Beacon, Lady Radlett and Blakeshall Quest, with the vote going to Beamsley Beacon. Beamsley Beacon is generally very consistent on the all-weather and comes here on the back of a decent five-furlong run here. He is well worth considering at this lowly level. King Marrakech and Lakeside Guy look held on that form, although bear in mind there is a further furlong to travel today. Based on formlines with Amanda's Lad, there should not be too much between the selection and Lady Radlett today, though, so grant her all due respect. Blakeshall Quest won off a higher mark over course and distance in May and, if anywhere near that type of form now, would be a leading player. Christian Bendix is another to consider as he's been running well of late and this is his level, while Juwwi is more than capable of a good run at this level, although it seems to happen less frequently these days. Auentraum has attracted money in the past - not least when sent off as favourite at Lingfield two runs ago - and he ought to go well at this level on his first try on the surface. Polesworth showed a bit more last time, but her wins have so far come at seven furlongs. Finally, Teyaar's recent runs here have not been the best, while Midge's Girl is lighty-raced and has the potential for improvement, but she could not be a confident fancy. Overall, though, we expect a good run from Beamsley Beacon.
