KOO AND THE GANG can call the tune in the opener; the list of dangers is headed by London Girl and Countrywide Ice. The selection was beaten a long way in the Brocklesby on his debut but he ran a blinder here last time out when he was only narrowly beaten by Lucky Mellor. He was well punted that day which suggests connections think he is quite useful and he can provide trainer Brian Ellison with a welcome winner. London Girl looks the obvious danger as she shaped with a bit of promise in a decent maiden on her debut, but she was still well beaten that day and she will need to improve to trouble the judge. Countrywide Ice finished down the field on his debut but the yard merits plenty of respect in these type of events and it is fair to assume that he will improve for his introduction to the racecourse. Tom Dascombe does well with his sprinters so his Captain Rio colt Janeiro is worth a market check on his debut. Dascombe's stable are also in good form, but Koo And The Gang makes more appeal and is put forward as the pick.
