Smart Hostess won at Wolverhampton over this trip last time out, and is has been in good form of late. On the downside, he is giving away plenty of weight to his rivals, but still has placing claims. Hampton Lucy is the most interesting of the course and distance winners. She hasn't run since beating Pants by three lengths here in November, but should appreciate the return to the course, although race fitness would be a concern. Kieren Fallon is booked to ride another course and distance winner, Days Of Grace. He seemed to be coming back to form when finishing fifth here last month, and has a good record at Southwell. Waxwing is capable of winning a race like this, but has so far failed to shine at Southwell. Chorus looks the best of the rest. This Rod Millman-trained six-year-old goes well at the course and finished a good third behind Smart Hostess last time out.
