tracked leaders, led over 1f out, stayed on final furlong until headed close home
chased leaders, ridden 2f out, no extra inside final furlong
dwelt, never a factor
slowly into stride, always behind
soon chased along, never better than mid-division
tracked leaders, pushed along halfway, ridden and stayed on same pace final furlong
led, ridden and headed over 1f out, one pace inside final furlong
mid-division, effort over 2f out, no impression
dwelt and behind, some late headway, never near to challenge
prominent, pushed along halfway, one pace final furlong
chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, ran on final furlong to lead close home
chased leaders to halfway
chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, stayed on same pace final furlong
dwelt and behind, clipped heels and stumbled after 1f, not recovered
A very trick sprint event and Danakim is just a token selection, Bunkhouse and Ela Figura may also play a part in the finish. Danakim hasn't raced since October when a very promising third over six furlongs at Ayr and his form here at Southwell last spring is as good as anything else on show. He wasn't beaten far in a couple of competitive sprints and if fit should give a good account of himself. Bunkhouse has been turned over in a couple of Wolverhampton banded events recently but has run well here in better company and may be good enough to reach the frame. Ela Figura is consistent in this sort of company but does need to show improvement to actually win this event, however she may manage a bit of place money. Royal Nite Owl can also be given a squeak on bits and pieces of form, however Danakim has strong claims on last seasons efforts and just gets the vote.
