Verdict
Just the six runners for this mile handicap and we'll take MOZAYADA to emerge best of them from Hilbre Court and King Of The Moors. Mel Brittain's mare was a real money spinner this time last year winning five times in a couple of months and she's gradually been edging back to form, as shown when second to course specialist Salerosa last time. With her mark unchanged and still some 5lbs below that which she won off back in January there seems every likelihood that Robert Winston will bounce this one out and not see another rival. With our selection set to start a very warm order some may seek value elsewhere and perhaps Hilbre Court might provide that. The four-year-old is another who goes particularly well here and hasn't been going badly of late although he does has around five lengths to find with our pick on their last time out running, with weights unaltered. King Of The Moors is another with chances having been dropped a couple of pounds by the assessor, although this will be only his second try at Southwell with the first resulting in a well-beaten last place so it takes something of a leap of faith to back Richard Guest's horse here. Avertis runs well here but giving weight to these won't be easy and so he's overlooked this time whilst Spiritofthewest is yet to convince he stays a mile and West End Lad has been woefully out of sorts lately so this is best left to the standout horse, Mozayada.
