This is a very modest race and Principessa might just be good enough to hold King Of Knight, with the betting possibly providing clues as to the chances of the others. The best of the selection's Turf maiden form gives her a clear shout here, particularly as she comes here seven pounds and more clear of her rivals to have achieved a rating. King Of Knight's second to Midshipman at Wolverhampton last time puts him well into the mix, while the Hughie Morrison-trained Dalpe is interesting as he is by the Brazilian sire Siphon. Zalam showed promise in Irish maidens before joining Paul Blockley, but his first run on the all-weather was not auspicious, although a step up in trip might bring about some improvement. It might pay to watch the betting with regard to the possibilities of the others, with Bundaberg holding a place chance based on the best of his juvenile form. However, Principessa will rarely get a better opportunity to earn some winning brackets and just shades the vote.
