Stretton might just provide the answer here, with his main dangers possibly proving to be Newtonian, Ti Adora, Dovedon Hero and Trance. Stretton took to Wolverhampton's surface and today's trip last time, winning well, and still looks favourably weighted so, if taking to this track, holds a decent chance. Mad Carew is well weighted at his best but hasn't run here. He should have finished closer at Lingfield last time so at least comes here in good heart. Yenaled won over course and distance a year ago and a repeat of that gives him chances. Dovedon Hero has been disappointing since winning off a higher mark at Newmarket in May but has gone well here in the past. Pass The Port is a course and distance winner who has run well from today's mark on Turf, while Trance, who won at Newmarket in May over 14 furlongs from a six-pounds higher mark, holds claims if in that mood and he acts here. On recent form, Heathyards Pride's chance cannot be dismissed, while Newtonian goes well here and returns to this surface following two modest Turf efforts. Ti Adora is lightly raced and open to improvement and, although untried here, has won at Wolverhampton, while Ballet Ballon is another that is lightly raced and probably has better to come. It all adds up to a very tricky race, with the selection being Stretton.
