Vondelpark and Ivory Madonna have both finished runner-up over the latter trip recently while Smart Deal only won a seller at Chelmsford last month and faces stiffer opposition in this. AUGUST never threatened for the Gosdens on his handicap debut back in June but has been gelded and joined Mick Appleby subsequently and could go close in this.
