Verdict

RAY OF JOY is by far the most consistent performer on show here but it must be noted that six of her eight successes have been achieved at Kempton. She's certainly in fine form currently, having been runner-up at her favourite track just five days ago, There has to be some doubt as to her effectiveness on this surface but she's given the benefit of the doubt and a tentative vote. Take The Lead has been tailed off the last twice but has a chance at her best whilst Mandy Layla has been absent since September. The main threat to the selection could well be College Doll, a close second at Wolverhampton this month. However, she finds herself 4lb out of the handicap which further tilts the choice towards Ray Of Joy.
