In depth

Verdict

Strawberry Spirit has an obvious shout if able to repeat a much-improved effort when just going down in the final strides at Warwick over a similar trip and ground. Ever So Much came from a seemingly impossible position to mow down his Sedgefield rivals the last day and should prove equally competitive here off his 5lb higher mark. Houndscourt has a chance if on a going day but is practically impossible to predict with any level of confidence and Admiral Blake is another who is hard to rely upon. The Flame returns after a wind operation and could well be a player here but the vote goes to ST ANDREWS. He remains lightly-raced over timber and showed his wellbeing with a couple of decent efforts on the all-weather in the spring for his new yard. He's on a nice mark here and Brian Hughes is booked.
