    Verdict

Vivernus appeared to catch the opposition napping when hitting the front at the top of the home straight over track and trip last month and returned a wide-margin winner. But he’s paid for that with a 12lb hike in the weights and AZARI looks a safer bet. The latter made all to score by seven lengths over course and distance on Thursday and a penalty may not be enough to anchor him in this. Mixboy won over hurdles before scoring on the Flat at Catterick in October and finished runner-up on an earlier debut on this surface. He’s preferred to Great Hall, who also returns to the Flat and is having his first start on Fibresand but Ezanak continues to struggle.
