Duelling Banjos and Qobtaan were both successful last time out and can fight out the finish here with the former just preferred. John Akehust's gelding has had a bit of a break since beating some experienced handicappers at Nottingham back in November and looks on a very fair mark for his first venture on the all-weather for some eighteen months. Qobtaan slaughtered his rivals in a banded race at Wolverhampton earlier this month, that success means he will be ruled out of that type of contest for some time but the ease of that victory suggests he can make his mark in this higher grade. The best of the rest could be Goodbye Mr Bond who is closely matched with Qobtaan on running here in early December, however in what is a pretty weak affair, Duelling Banjos may just prevail.
