Dart has been going well without winning recently but he can put that right here and break his duck at the main expense of Grizeback, with Lady Nimue an interesting debutante. The James Fanshawe-trained selection has gone close on all her last three starts and should not be inconvenienced by the drop back to 11 furlongs here. A repeat of any of those recent runs would probably be good enough in what is not a strong contest. Grizebeck has put up some decent efforts in defeat, and this represents a drop in class for Roger Fisher's gelding, who should appreciate that and go close. Lady Nimue is interesting and would be even more so if the market speaks in her favour. Certainly her pedigree, a sister to Mae Cigan, suggests that this trip will be right up her street, though she may still need this initial outing. Roy Bowring's West End Lad looks best of the remainder, and with form on the board we will take Dart to pitch up on the winner's podium for the first time.
