In depth

Verdict

Cotopaxi has hit a rich vein of form of late and was particularly impressive when coasting to an easy win at Market Rasen earlier in the month. The Venetia Williams-trained gelding is best with cut in the ground but should cope with today's faster surface and can overcome a 7lb rise. Bernardon had the selection behind when a narrow winner at Worcester in June but the latter has improved since and can reverse the form. Broke Road comes here in good fettle and should go close off the same mark as when second at Stratford late last month. Ocean Line was a progressive type vlast term and goes well on a fast surface but will need to show significant progress from his disappointing return earlier in the month to figure off his current mark.
