The worst of the two divisions and ROYAL TENDER is the most token of offerings versus Keene Spirit and Pharaon De Touzaine. The selection had showed a modicum of promise a couple of seasons ago for Brendan Powell but went into severe decline. She stays this trip and Peter Toole's claim means that she will be in plenty of weight all around. Keene Spirit is a well bred individual and has to be respected. Rated in three figures over hurdles, he has been unable to translate it thus far to the larger obstacles. Pharaon De Touzaine finished second in a similar contest at Towcester and may have come on for a brief absence. Ripalong Lad was well touted during his bumper career but his recent runs between the flags have been far from fruitful. Shaver Baines is well bred though faded dramatically on debut. Humbel Origins is yet to win under rules. Stormy Bay may need a bit more rain before we see him come to the fore. A desperate affair in which Royal Tender is nominated to minimum stakes.
