Verdict

A small field goes to post for this handicap chase and the ones to concentrate on are April Spirit, El Cordobes and Tender Touch and we will take a chance on April Spirit. The mare was a fair second on her debut this season behind Mollyscarbreakfast, she is sure to have come on for the run and will be hard to beat with conditions again in her favour. Tender Touch rates the main danger. He was a good third behind Pharbeitforme last time and is sure to be suited by the step up in trip and with Richard Johnson taking the ride he is sure to have his supporters. El Cordobes will no doubt make a bold bid to make all the running, but he gave the impression he was in the handicapper's grip when fourth behind Gatorade last time so for that reason he is opposed on this occasion. The remainder need to better there best to trouble the judge so we are happy to stick with April Spirit.
