Verdict

FIRE IN BABYLON bids for hat-trick having won at Wolverhampton last time. Upped 3lb, he can go in again given he'd easily beaten Grandad Mac over course and distance earlier. The latter may be in the handicapper's grip now after winning three times on the Fibresand in January while Monzino has completely lost his way since being raised 8lb for scoring on the Polytrack in December. Samoset and Light The City won their respective divisions of an amateurs' race over 1m3f here a week ago but both will find life tougher under a penalty today.
