    Verdict

A very weak event can fall to Paris Power, with Genoa Star and Ever Special also expected to play a part in the finish. Derek Morris has his string in good form and Paris Power, not beaten far in a better race at Lingfield last time, can add to his recent tally. The gelding was fifth behind Super Frank in a class six handicap and if repeating that effort will be hard to beat this afternoon. Ever Special has contested much better races that this on the turf without showing too much. If this one gets market support for his first all-weather run take note. Genoa Star has been running over shorter trips and is bred to get this mile so expect an improved performance from this one. Best of the others could be Take No Notice, but in a race that will not take a lot of winning Paris Power gets the vote.
