The betting suggested Hussar Ballad was expected to improve for the step up to 1m4f last time and he duly obliged. But Frosty Friday makes more appeal over today's distance, though her recent win at this track was her first in 20 attempts. Pearl Noir has shown her best over shorter trips so far and is closely matched with Fast On on last month's running over 7f here. GENERAL TUFTO is multiple course winner and, even though he rarely gets his head in front nowadays, he went close at Wolverhampton last week and may have another win in him off such a lowly mark.
