Trenchard should be noted on his racecourse debut given the Godolphin colt is related to no less than 11 winners around the world and his yard is in fine form. But HE’S A LAD still went close at Lingfield last month, despite being hampered by Pepita, and the race is working out well with the latter winning at Kempton earlier this week. Andrew Balding’s charge gets the vote but Kencumin showed promise when placed on his introduction and can figure ahead of the more-exposed Elegantly Bound. The latter is weighted to beat Lady Volante but Havelock disappointed when stepped up to today’s trip last time.
