FORTIS REGINA has to be forgiven a poor effort at Newmarket but an earlier third at the same track, when separating a couple of subsequent winners, is the best form on offer. Canadiansmokeshow finished behind the selection on that occasion but Chealamy also ran at Newmarket last time when fourth over today’s trip and is preferred to stablemate and newcomer Velvet Thunder. Belinda Bell and Pastiche may well improve over this longer distance with the former preferred.
