Carausius completed a track and trip hat-trick at the turn of the year but has had a long break since well beaten into third at Newcastle in February. NATCHEZ TRACE won easily on his only visit here last month before a fair effort in a similar race over 1m2f at Newcastle and gets the vote, though Sophosc also ran well over this trip at the same fixture. Prydwen has never been over the trip or run here but performed very well over 1m2f at Lingfield while Lasting Legacy was racing over the trip for the first time when scoring at Wolverhampton and a 2lb rise is unlikely to prevent another big run.
