        Verdict

        Six of the nine entries are course and distance winners while another, Secret Glance, would have to be considered on a very good second here in January. Swansway is another without a victory on the surface but he's been going well on the Tapeta. ALPHA TAURI is a multiple winner on the track and though creeping up the weights has Lewis Edmunds' claim to help and looks to have as good a chance as any in a race where many of his rivals are inconsistent. It's a long time since Warfare won but he's consequently dropped to a fair mark and should be thereabouts.
