      Verdict

      Colwood won at Chelmsford on Friday having finished runner-up over track and trip before that but has a penalty to carry. Lucky Lover Boy won on the Flat at Newcastle before struggling in all-weather bumper at the same track and is 4lb higher but October Storm ended last year with a second at Lingfield and Ella McCain takes 7lb off his back. Cotton Club was still well beaten when third over a longer trip here last time but Oleg returns to the level having undergone wind surgery since last in action over fences. Three times a winner over hurdles, LONDONIA won over course and distance on only his second start after a lengthy lay-off and first outing on Fibresand. There should be more to come on this surface and he’s taken to defy a 5lb rise.
