In depth

Verdict

Auchterarder made a winning start at Beverley back in March while Royal Context scored over 6f here in September and both are penalised. But a couple of these have form in heavy ground and may well handle the surface. The Bell Conductor was beaten only a neck at Catterick last time but RATHAGAN was runner-up in a better race at Nottingham so it’s Richard Hughes’ charge that gets the vote to come out best with further progress on the cards.
