Verdict

Straight Ash was caught close home here last time having won over track and trip before that with DREW BREEZE (NAP) back in third. But the latter returned to the Fibresand earlier this week to record a five length victory and will likely be raised by much more than today’s 5lb penalty in the future. Thawry was still well beaten when runner-up here recently but Cheap Jack may do better having failed to stay 2m on his latest outing. Ruby Red Empress went close at Kempton just four days ago and can figure if taking to the surface.
