Verdict

A poor maiden here but something has to win and the principals look to be Wood Chorus, Sir Royal and Opening Act and the vote is given to Wood Chorus. The selection was a fair second behind Sapphire's Fire last time out, that form stands out in the context of this race and he need only run up to that mark to score. Sir Royal rates the main danger on his latest second behind Eporus but he has already indicated that he would-be suited by a longer trip and is taken on with this in mind. Opening Act showed little on his debut but is well bred and should be capable of better. The remainder have shown very little and are readily opposed and for the winner we return to Wood Chorus who sets a fair standard.
