        Verdict

        SCOTCH MYST is Richard Fahey's only runner at the meeting and he looked suited by stepping up to 7f at Newcastle. Paul Hanagan takes over from an apprentice and can steer him to his second victory on the track. Mimic's Memory is 3lb lower than when scoring over the course and distance last May and has been finding a mile beyond her in her latest starts. The veteran General Tufto has won 15 times around here but is another who generally runs over an extra furlong while Hugie Boy has yet to show any real form on the track. Limerick Lord has been running a bit better than his form figures suggest and could snatch a place in a poor contest.
