      Verdict

      Chieftain's Choice beat Exitas over a shorter trip at Stratford last week but the latter is now 7lb better off so has every chance of turning the tables. THE JAM MAN (NAP) has an excellent strike-rate in this country and also ran a fine race at Downpatrick last month after a short break. Brian Hughes rode him to victory at Hexham in June and is back on board Ronan McNally's raider here. Shazzamataz won a maiden at Kempton in May but that form hasn’t worked out
