    Verdict

A desperate race here but something has to win and the principals look to be Silsong, Kristinor and Shaheer and the tentative vote is given to Silsong. The selection was a fair second behind Island Pearl last time out. That form looks solid in the context of this race and he need only reproduce that effort to win this. Shaheer rates the main danger on his latest third behind Young Mick. That form has since been franked and with the step up in trip in his favour he will not be far away. Kristinor is another that could go well on his best form but he looked far from genuine when fourth behind Tanning last time, so he can not be put forward with any confidence. However, the booking of Eddie Ahern catches the eye and he is another to note in the market but in a race that is tricky for punters to call we will stick with Silsong as our idea of the winner.
