led, ridden 2f out, headed over 1f out, kept on, no chance with winner
in touch, ridden 3f out, headway 2f out, led final furlong, ran on well
tracked leaders, ridden and switched right over 2f out, soon beaten
with leaders, ridden over 2f out, soon every chance, weakened final furlong
slowly into stride, always behind, tailed off 4f out
A competitive little heat in which four of the five runners can be given a chance of sorts. All-Weather debutante Arry Dash is worthy of respect, especially as better will be seen of him over this trip, rather than the sharp seven-furlongs at Catterick, while Blue Venture showed more than enough to suggest he could be a horse to follow on this surface, when just touched off by Malahide Express back in October. Big Luciano is well named as he is quite a well grown colt and while he looks the one to beat, he will have his work cut out trying to give the weight to Magenta Rising. Using Blue Trojan as a yardstick, Paul Darcy's filly has a couple of pounds in hand over Big Luciano and she is taken to land a tricky race.
