Several of these have already shown ability over hurdles and others have won on the Flat. Of the former group, Billy The Squid finished ahead of Fraterculus and disappointing favourite Global Agreement at Uttoxeter but has already run three times. Bannister chased home the prolific Hiconic at Stratford in July but was much too keen at Market Rasen last month. The Trendy Man won over 1m2f at Beverley in July but has been well beaten twice there since and is rated 17lb lower on the Flat than THUNDER KING, who was a winner over an extended 1m3f at Windsor and will have had plenty of schooling. Ranco had decent middle-distance form in France. He is Flat bred but should have a future over timber if he lasts home.
