In depth

Verdict

Spectator has a rating of 82 on the Flat. He’s had a couple of runs on the all-weather and been in good form over hurdles lately, winning at Musselburgh in January, so should be a factor in this with Richard Johnson doing the steering. But MAN LOOK is rated higher both over timber and on the level and is preferred. Donald McCain’s charge has won three times over jumps in the last 12 months, though there is a slight question mark over the surface. Recent Catterick third Brotherly Company won over 1m4f on the Flat here in January so can’t be ignored and makes more appeal than Ray's The Money and Broughtons Admiral.
