In depth

Verdict

Danelor is the confident choice in this claimer with Champagne Shadow and Romil Star likely to give him the most to think about. The selection was reported to have lost his action when disappointing here last week. That poor run can be forgiven and the fact that he is eased back down in grade today will make him hard to beat. Champagne Shadow has to be respected as a live danger as he put up a cracking effort in a better race than this last time when third behind Willhego at Lingfield. If he can run up to that level today then he will not be far away at the finish. Romil Star was a fair second behind Hawkit here last time and although he is capable of claiming some place money today, he is basically exposed. His stablemate Khanjar is another that can't be ruled out but Danelor should have too much class for his rivals in this grade and gets the vote.
