Verdict

Just four runners but a tricky little finale. Rossvoss was a very easy winner at Naas on just his second start over fences though that was over the minimum trip and he ran poorly when tackling 2m6f at Killarney. Shadow Catcher made a successful debut over fences at Limerick in June but hasn't made the expected progress though he did make the long odds-on Cyrus Darius pull out the stops at Perth last week. UN BEAU ROMAN has won just once in ten starts over fences but has been competing at a very much higher level and been placed in Graded company. He was well beaten in the Kerry National last time but will appreciate this huge drop in class and can get back to winning ways. Shantou Flyer could prove the main threat as he scored at Galway in July and produced a fine run back there three weeks ago when runner-up to Perfect Promise.
