In depth

Verdict

EAGLE VALLEY has only won on Polytrack and the snow at St Moritz so her ability to act on this ground has to be taken on trust but her overall form just about gives her the edge. Jackie Ellis is reasonably consistent but she's won once in 31 starts and disappointed when fancied at Roscommon last time. Patience A Plenty has been fading in 6f maidens so the longer trip doesn't look in her favour while Botanical Lady hasn't run since September, though her best form last season was over this trip on soft ground. Somebodytoldme looked promising in the autumn but has gone backwards and Queen Zain has been racing over much further.
