Neither Red Cadeaux nor DUNADEN were done any favours by the draw in last month's Melbourne Cup but Mikel Delzangles' entire has fared better here as he bids to win this Group 1 for the second year in succession. He should again get the better of last year's third Red Cadeaux and looks the one to beat despite only finishing second to Sea Moon, who also has a nice draw, in the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot in June. The only three-year-old in the race, Bayrir, could go well and has the beating of Meandre on their run together in the Arc but Sea Moon's fellow English raiders Joshua Tree, Dandino and Dancing Rain may all be found wanting.
