        Verdict

KING KURT will have been well schooled and has won twice on the Flat on good to firm ground. He hasn't been in great form on the level this year but starts off over timber at a realistic level and can come good at the first time of asking. Magic Haze has won twice on the Fibresand but didn't show a great deal on his hurdling debut so previous winners Fleet Dawn and Muwalla are probably more interesting. The pair met at Market Rasen earlier this month when the former came out on top, though Chris Grant's charge is 7lb better off now. Itstooearly won a poor race at Cartmel in June but that remains her only success in 34 starts over timber.
