John Forbes was almost the pick of these over hurdles, has shown promise in both starts over fences this term and is taken to open his account over the larger obstacles, getting the verdict over King of Confusion and Sunday City. The last mentioned was of similar ability to the selection over timber but has disappointed in his two starts over the larger obstacles so far so looks best watched at present. Martin Todhunter's Ten Carat has run well in two starts over hurdles this term and it is interesting that he is being switched chasing as quickly as this. Aitch Doubleyou lacks a recent run and of more interest may be Peter Bowen's Snoopy Loopy who was highly tried over timber last term, including in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and showed promise on his chasing debut at Market Rasen recently. With Ferdy Murphy's stable in such good form at present, King of Confusion has to be respected but John Forbes has solid claims and he gets the vote.
