In depth

Verdict

It was hard not to be impressed with the way Kiwayu strode clear at Uttoxeter and the penny finally seems to have dropped with him. Top of The Glas was entitled to win a Hexham maiden 11 days ago and did so with the minimum of fuss, though this looks tougher under a penalty. It seems wise to keep OUR REWARD (NAP) to this trip for now, even though he's won over 3m between the flags. Jamie Snowden's charge has won twice already over course and distance under 7lb claimer William Featherstone and a hat-trick beckons. Gran Paradiso beat Kiwayu here last month so is no mug while Jovial Joey was knocking on the door in the spring. Dante's Way and Spirit Of Kayf are both bumper winners bred to go jumping so are also interesting.
