Verdict

SAMIZDAT can collect this open contest with Nightboat to Cairo and I'm Your Man two others to note. Nightboat to Cairo ran with credit in a competitive seller at Catterick last week, and although a non-seller, this is a low grade affair. That was an improved effort, and a reproduction of that could see him play a leading role here. I'm Your Man has been running well over fences recently, including a success, and though he is well treated over hurdles, his performances have not been up to the same level and he is taken on. Samizdat arrived on the scene a little too late on his latest start, having run well to be third in a race which threw up a winner before that. Samizdat saddles top weight here, but runs off the same mark here, and can be rewarded for his consistency and concede weight all round.
