Another tough stayers handicap where plenty hold fair claims on the pick of their form, but it may be worth chancing Red Rampage as he appears to have found a new lease of life recently and he may be able to reverse recent course and distance form with Sylviesbuck - although the unexposed Malek is entitled to go close and has to merit consideration as shortlist material if he is turned out quickly after winning at Carlisle yesterday. So too does Bold Navigator, who acts well at this track but has a little to prove after being raised 10lb for an easy victory over course and distance on Boxing Day last year. However, as his previous completion rate over fences is not as good as it should be, he is one to have reservations about in this company. The same has to be said of Atticus Finch, who has never raced over a trip this far and is opposable on balance. Therefore, it can pay to give Red Rampage another chance as he is at least guaranteed to appreciate this test of stamina. This former inmate of Richard Guest's takes his racing well and will exploit any weaknesses from his rivals today. The lack of an obvious pacemaker also plays to Red Rampage's strengths and he is fancied to turn the tables on Sylviesbuck this time around. Tribal Run has a little to find with the selection but is better than his form figures would suggest and is another to monitor for each-way support.
