In depth

Verdict

Iron Express gets the vote here and he is taken to score at the main expense of Inland Run and Highland Island. The selection was returning from a break when just failing to get home last time at Kelso when fourth behind Behavingbadly. He is sure to come on for that run and with the slight drop in trip also in his favour he is taken to score. Inland Run came on for his chasing debut when a fair second behind Manbow at Wetherby last time. However, he is unproven on ground as soft as this and for that reason he is passed over. Highland Island was comfortably held in third behind Native Eire over this course and distance last time, but he remains unexposed and if he can improve for that run he could go well. Trooper has got plenty of ability and is another worth considering if he is on a going day. However, for the winner we return to Iron Express.
