tracked leader, progress to challenge when hampered soon after 3 out, every chance when hung left approaching next, hampered and switched right after last, hung right soon after, no extra

tracked leader, led 3 out, soon edged left and squeezed rival, challenged next, sent left after last, hung left shortly after, all out
always in 4th, beaten after 3 out
A cracking little contest, despite the disappointing turnout. I’M TO BLAME has top weight but we’re loathe to desert Keith Dalgleish’s novice, who is three from three around here and has won by a wide margin on each occasion. The others have more experience but Dans Le Vent will need a strong gallop dropped in trip and Bordeaux Bill has also been racing over longer distances. Brianstorm is potentially well treated, however, and has had wind surgery since disappointing over fences at Ascot just before Christmas.
I'm To Blame (IRE) 2-5fav (11-12) Made most, driven clear approaching 2 out, ridden between last 2, idled towards finish, driven out, won at Sedgefield 2m 4f hcp (3) gd in Feb beating Quest For Life (11-8) by 8l, 5 ran.
Dans Le Vent (FR) 5-1 (11-13) Led, pressed from 3 out, headed 2 out, ridden before last, kept on and always held, 2nd of 9, 6l behind Skidoosh (11-3) at Doncaster 3m hcp (3) gd in Feb.
Bordeaux Bill (IRE) 9-2 (10-12) Held up in rear but in touch, headway 3 out, soon chasing leaders, kept on same pace from 2 out, 3rd of 7, 12 1/2l behind Who's My Jockey (11-8) at Doncaster 3m hcp (2) gd in Mar.
Brianstorm (IRE) 5-2fav (11-0) Led until blundered badly 1st, tracked leader, led again 3rd, headed approaching 2 out, weakened soon after, last of 5, 14 1/2l behind Azzerti (11-8) at Ascot 2m 1f hcp (3) sft in Dec.
