        The Alleycat (IRE) Course and distance winner on penultimate start but carrying a large penalty today; will struggle with all this weight on his back, even with his jockey claiming 7lbs.

        Diamond Hall Won a hurdles race over this distance back in 1999. Was soundly beaten last week at Uttoxeter. Has something to prove today but coming from an in form yard; would have chances on his better form.

        Irlandais II (FR) Much improved run when fourth to Ichi Beau at Ayr in April. Has not been out since and likely to need the run; still has a lot to prove.

        Loudy Rowdy (IRE) Has not run since 1999 and has not won since 1997; unlikely prospect today.

        Minster York Beaten 28L by Apadi on latest start. Was second to Ei Ei in penultimate start over fences at Southall; needs to improve to win today.

        Mutadarra (IRE) Won penultimate start at Worcester, but was disappointing when soudly beaten at Uttoxeter latest; off a lower mark today and cannot be ignored.

        Mutasarrif (IRE) Fell on latest start in Marck 2000; little to recommend him today for new trainer.

        Paddington Jones (IRE) 33L beaten by Divet Hill last time over 2m5f. Moderate form over all distances; others preferred.

        Victor Laszlo Best form must be respected. Conditions and trip will suit him today; cannot be ignored with a good jockey booking.

        Flaxen Pride (IRE) Makes chasing debut today. Flat and hurdle form of late shows only moderate but in this poor contest would have chances.

        Romany Hill Makes chasing debut today; hard to recommend on hurdle form.
