In depth

Verdict

LITTLE CHIP didn't show a great deal on his debut over fences under Rules but he's presumably capable of better as he has been placed between the flags. The first of three Charlie Longsdon runners to have made the long trip up from Lambourn, he might be well treated in a race featuring a number of disappointing types and could reverse Bangor running with Almutaham. Sparkling Tara has been expensive to follow over fences and was a beaten favourite again at Wetherby earlier this month while Copper's Gold was tailed off on his reappearance at Newcastle. Alpha One is 3lb lower than when third here in May but hasn't been seen since.
