Captain Biggles Long-time absentee, likely to need this.
Carousing Is better than his bare form suggests; a 10-furlong winner on the flat, who handled heavy, he then had some training problems. On his handicap debut, he warrants consideration here.
Iwanowo (IRE) Has hinted at ability in better events than this; handicap debut.
Nephite (NZ) Plenty of placed efforts for this New Zealand-bred; might find one or two too good again today.
Romany Hill Finished well behind Nephite at Wetherby on November 12 and is a lot worse off at the weights today.
Rush Off There are some nicely bred horses in this race. By Robellino, Rush Off's dam is a half-sister to the 2,000 Guineas winner Don't Forget Me. However, that's a long way from a Class F handicap at Sedgefield. He has shown some promise, including when third to Harcamone (winner since) last time; he handles soft and is another whose chance cannot be completely written off.
Border Run Won a poor novices' seller at Ludlow the time before last; needs to show more than that here.
Stone Cold See Tender Touch. Has looked a little short of pace in his races to date and the step up to 2m4f last time revealed no improvement.
King's Chambers Put doubts about his temperament behind him in winning two sellers this term; running well when he fell in a better class event at Catterick on Jan 10. Will handle this ground.
Hussy Absent since pulling up lame over course and distance back in October; the form of her ten-length third to Hulysse Royal on her first run last season reads well but she hasn't got near to that since. Will probably need this.
Tender Touch (IRE) Closely-weighted with King's Chambers on their Market Rasen run on Dec 26 (good to soft) but is slightly worse off for finishing about 13 lengths behind Stone Cold at Musselburgh on Jan 12 (2m 4f, good/good to soft in places). Pretty consistent, deserves to win a race but stuggles to keep her head in front.
Chan Move Placed in a seller off a mark of 57 last year but then seemed to run better races in better company after. Overall, though, it's hard to build up too strong a case for him here.
Black Ice Boy (IRE) Has had a long lay off and is hard to fancy.
Ghutah Possibly didn't stay on his penultimate start; hasn't raced since Nov 16 when pulled up over course and distance (soft/heavy). Before that was second in a course and distance seller. That seems to be his level.
Cudlic Candyfloss Can't be fancied here.
