Muroor defied a massive SP to beat Grand Coureur and Cybalko in a driving finish here last week but is worse off with both of the placed horses. Armattiekan was a wide-margin winner at Musselburgh a day earlier and also carries a penalty but has a good chance if reproducing that much-improved form. Roxboro Road has shown nothing since switching stables but OAK VINTAGE ran well on his reappearance here and was badly hampered when pulled up at Kelso subsequently. Philip Kirby’s front-runner is a three-times course winner who is on a very lenient mark at present.
