Verdict

Parade Racer tuned up for this with a fluent display to score between the flags last week and is sure to give a good account having shown plenty of ability over regulation fences in the past. The Tim Butt-trained gelding notched back-to-back wins at Kelso and Perth towards the back end of last season and will relish both the trip and ground so appears to have solid credentials under a useful amateur. Mountain Thyne also comes here in winning form in the pointing field and holds claims on his excellent performance to land a gamble at Hexham last May. The son of Good Thyne is an obvious threat while Son Of Anshan also enters calculations on his placed effort in last year's Martell Fox Hunters at Aintree. Go Nomadic has been a little below his best despite being fancied on both starts over regulation fences this term but shouldn't be written off in an interesting contest.
