BALTIC PATHFINDER is chanced on his chasing bow; the shortlist consists of The Corby Glenn and Toulouse Express. Sue Smith saddles two runners here but this son of Alflora looks narrowly the most interesting. He shaped with plenty of promise over hurdles and whilst the majority of his relatives were best over hurdles, his runs so far have suggested that fences may be the making of him. Soft ground is no problem and he looks worth chancing. Work Boy ran well at Market Rasen in March but two subsequent runs were less impressive; he is back from a 184 day break today and needs a market check. Categorical is edging back down to what looks a tempting mark and the My Arch form looks solid, The Corby Glenn ran well at Perth when travelling over before and he needs a market check, whilst John Wade loves to win at his local course and the consistent Deuteronomy is sure to give backers a good run for their money. Course and distance winner Day Of Claies is wildly out of form, Toulouse Express is one of several pacesetters in the race, whilst Whatcanyasay may improve for the longer trip this afternoon. Oscar Trial could run well at a price now dropped in trip, however it is Baltic Pathfinder who is preferred.
